First is this stunning green from Revlon. It's an unusual green, almost dark teal shade and I absolutely love it. It sways a bit more appropriate for the cold winters rather than Australia's 40+ degree Christmas, but should still definitely be considered. The formula of this nail polish is new to me but I can't say I'm disappointed, this particular shade is opaque and long lasting with no gel light required!
The classic red is a must for Christmas and definitely something I will be rocking all month. One of my favourite reds is this one from Sally Hansen. It's such a beautiful blue toned red, perfect for all occasions and all year round. I particularly like this range of nail polishes as they last forever and rarely chip. They also go on extremely opaque for just one coat!
Another one from Sally Hansen is this glitzy gold shimmer polish. It certainly is a statement for your fingertips but not in a chunky glitter kind of way. The shimmer in the polish is quite fine, making it much easier to remove than regular glitter nail polish. As for colour, it is a fairly neutral gold- well about as neutral as gold can get. It's not too yellow nor too vintage gold. Much like the red it's opaque and long lasting.
Stepping it down a notch, we have an unusual nail polish shade by Rimmel. I say unusual because I am yet to see something like it on the market. It's this nude gold with a rosie hue to it. It hasn't got large chunks of glitter or shimmer like the Sally Hansen one I just mentioned but it's almost duo chrome in certain lighting. The Lycra formula makes it seem like a gel finish. It is also one of the most chip free nail polishes I have ever tried. Not to mention it has the best name ever!
Here's one for the more neutral kind of girl. If your going all out with a sequinned dress, red lip and golden eyes, why not keep your nails neutral. This is my favourite nude nail polish. It's not too nude to the point you look dead but it's the kind of colour that will go with anything, making it perfect to pair with dramatic Christmas makeup. I love the 60 second drying nail polishes because they make everything so much easier and less messy- there's no need to be waving your hands around just before applying another coat. Despite it drying fast, it sure isn't thin. All of the colours tried from this range have been mostly opaque first coat, making it perfect if you're in a rush to that Christmas party.
That's it! My top 5 Nail Polishes for the festive season! I hope you enjoyed this post and are looking forward to yet another post tomorrow!
All my love,
Clarissa x
