Body scrubs are an essential when it comes to my dry skin and should be for everyone no matter what type of skin they have. Now some scrubs claim to promise things which make some people to run out and purchase ridiculously over priced products but a good thing about the ones I'm about to show you is that they are super affordable and are made out of things that you are more than likely to have lying around in the pantry.
The first one is the infamous Coffee Scrub. A well known brand by the name of Frank has taken the Internet by storm and literally there is a picture of a bag on everyone's instagram. The frank coffee scrub promises the reduction in the appearance of cellulite, stretch marks, psoriasis, varicose veins, eczema and acne. It's one of those cult products that may not actually be worth the hype. It's not a particularly expensive product retailing between $15 and $18 AUS but for what it is it could be made so much cheaper using products in your own home. I'm not bagging the product as many people swear by it, it's just that I don't feel it is worth the money when you can easily do it yourself with things just lying around in the cupboard. So that is what I plan on teaching you.
There are many benefits to this scrub, so your skin will love you for it. Coffee is antioxidant rich, meaning it's a great anti inflammatory product. With it being high in caffeine, consuming coffee will give you an instant buzz from the inside but using it on your body will pep your skin right up! The coarse granules will act as an exfoliate just like the brown sugar. I'm not going to go on about the benefits of the oils as I have an in depth post about the skin benefits of different oils coming soon.
Just remember that this "recipe" can be completely customised to your liking.
All you need -
1 cup of Ground Coffee
Roughly 6 tablespoons of oil (I use a combination of grape seed and coconut)
2 tablespoons of brown sugar
A jar or container for storage
Method -
Combine all ingredients in a medium sized bowl. If solid, melt the coconut oil and add. Depending on how dry or wet the mixture is, it may be necessary to give or take some of the oil. Store in a waterproof jar or container.
Directions of use -
Apply to slightly damp skin, using soft circular motions to exfoliate. Rinse off. Always apply moisturiser after use. Repeat 3 times a week for optimal results.

All my love xx
