Sadly the price was just a little over rediculous so I decided that I could just make my own as it is super simple and a great gift!
What you will need:
A silicone cake pop mould (it has to be silicone not metal)
Milk, white or dark chocolate
Regular sized Marshmallows
Pastry brush
Small piping bag (or a snap lock bag)
How to:
1. Spray silicone moulds with a light coating of cooking oil for extra insurance that they will pop out.
2. Melt chocolate in microwave or over double boiler. Being careful to not over heat it.
3. Pour a small amount of chocolate into the moulds. Brush up the sides with pastry brush until fully covered and allow to set. This step may need to be repeated to ensure it is strong enough.
4. Place a marshmallow into half of the individual cake pop moulds and halfway fill around the sides with chocolate. Once set pop them out of the moulds.
5. In the remaining moulds, fill with melted chocolate.
6. Top the melted chocolate halves with the marshmallow ones. Alow to set.
7. Remove the balls from the moulds. If there is a gap where the two sides join, in a small chocolate filled piping bag, pipe around the edges to join them. Wipe off excess.
These are quite large so for a single serve of hot chocolate so they may be too sweet so add it to 500mls of warm milk to serve two rather than 250mls for one person unless you prefer it sweeter, but it is entirely up to you!
I hope you enjoy these! If you make them I would love to know so tweet me @XClarissaM or just come say hi!
All my love xx
